What’s New in Excel for Office 365?
If you’re upgrading from older Excel versions (2007, 2010, 2013, 2016) to Excel for Office 365, you’ll see the familiar ribbon menu system, but there are lots of new features that are easy to miss:
- new chart types
- a completely new set of functions called spill functions
- new ways of tabulating data with dynamic array formulas and functions (no more Ctrl+Shift+Enter and array formulas), as well as features like Sparklines (in-cell charts)
- Slicers (interactive filtering available in tables)
- Flash Fill (that makes cleaning up data a lot easier)
- and many other tools introduced in recent versions that you might have overlooked
